About Florence Trip
Florence Trip is an independent travel guide dedicated to Florence and the wider Tuscany region — from the Uffizi to Val d'Orcia, Chianti wine roads to Cinque Terre day trips. Our mission: help you plan a genuinely good trip, without tourist-trap shortcuts.
What we cover
We cover Florence and Tuscany in depth: skip-the-line tickets and booking strategies for the Uffizi, Accademia, and Duomo; real day-trip logistics (trains, buses, the ZTL driving zone); seasonal guides for when to visit; honest food recommendations that go beyond the obvious Ponte Vecchio trattorias; and practical planning tools built into the site.
The site is available in eight languages — English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, and Polish — so that non-English speakers get the same depth of information.
Our approach
Every guide on this site is based on thorough research, real travel experience, and a commitment to honesty. We cover Florence's tourist traps directly — the fake-leather markets, the gelato-with-fluorescent-colours scam, the ZTL fines, the restaurants charging €25 for mediocre pizza because they face the Duomo. We think travelers deserve to know this upfront.
Prices are in EUR and kept consistent across pages. Journey times are realistic. If a day trip is genuinely ambitious (Cinque Terre, we're looking at you), we say so.
How we earn revenue
Florence Trip is a free resource. We earn commissions when you book tours and activities through our affiliate links with GetYourGuide and Viator. This costs you nothing extra; the commission comes from the booking platform, not from you. Read our full affiliate disclosure for details.
We do not accept sponsored content, paid placements, or hotel or accommodation commissions. Our recommendations are editorially independent.
